On The Other Side Of Tomorrow

 

In limbic time my mind doth wander

Upon my deeply furrowed brow

I make a truce a promised vow

To never bow against my worth…

To reign in Celestial peace...

      On the other side of tomorrow

 

Tis’ naught my desire to barter my soul

Or to tread darkened waters of despair

To a higher goal I shall adhere

Flying on gossamer wings of compassion

 

Finding meanings in things unseen

Never forgetting what it means to run free

As time on this land shall someday cease

Therefore...

Let me naught have many denied regrets

 

Thoughts race across the pages of my soul

As their words dance before my very eyes

And oh…

The many things I hold so dear

That reign supreme in my earthly dreams

 

I shall not question exactly how

I'll make my truths my alluvial pledge

Having seen the lowest of ebbs

I ponder now and then...

Why life serves dishes of splendor

Then blinds our eyes to simple things unseen

 

A fleeting look, a sentiment unheard

Words spoken in haste and anger

Brings whetted tears of sorrow

When the final call is now

I shall remain ever hopeful

To peacefully rest my earthly soul...

       On the other side of tomorrow
