LeftOver Love

LeftOver Love

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Don't leave me the crumbs of your cold, stale leftover love

or the scrapings from your Saturday night fast food garbage

Even your coffee was from yesterday

                       Taken cold...

out of the fridge you call your heart

I feast on love grown food from the gardens tilled by tender

hands that plant their roots deeply into fertile soil

Leftover love spills out over the top

From a rusty, tin cup too full of itself

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
