![]() Old Cajun MoonA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnneOut of the Omicron Ceti The Mira shines bright red in the sky Waiting for a warm afternoon Where old men go fishing With a string and a limb Waiting for the setting of the moon. With four loaves of bread Three jars of strawberry jam Sweet lemonade and a spoon. All the boys in their boats Call to the girls on the shore Laying out in the hot, summer sun Out in the Bayou all the people are kind While the boys find the girls they adore They dance in the night to wild, Cajun songs While bonfires burn bright in the night Can you think of a more fitting place In all this world where you really belong Then to dance with the stars burning bright Underneath that old Cajun moon!
