Tribute To A Little Sister ~Deanna Lee Murray

I wrote this poem about my, sweet, little sister Deanna, who died in a car accident when she was only 16 years old in 1965. Rest in Peace My Sweet

 

 

My sweet, little Sister~

Deanna Lee Murray

Born, August 15, 1949

Deceased, November 15, 1965   

 

"Oh yes, little sister~
you stood out in a crowd alright.
Everyone who saw you would comment~

" Oh what an adorable child"!
You had curly locks of chestnut brown.
Eyes the hue of the sweetest, darkest chocolate that could melt any heart at it's core.

You my sweet one had the tenderness of heart like that of an angel.The most joyful of spirits. The most loving and kindest soul.
When you cried~even over the tiniest things, your tears and sobs~could tear the heart at its deepest marrow.
My sweet Little Sister.
You were so gentle. You had a warm and generous heart and soul. You cared when loved ones were sick or sad.

With a final loving glance you were laid to rest, beneath Heaven's blue skies
with care and love as the sun shone down
with its brilliant, golden rays, while all the sweet flowers and Angels gathered there awaiting your gentle arrival.

    "If tears could build a stairway
     and memories a lane,
     we’d walk right up to heaven,
     and bring you back again.
     No farewell words were spoken,
     No time to say goodbye.
     You...
     Gone before we knew it,
     so hard to understand just why.
     He saw the road was getting rough
     The hills were hard to climb.
     So He closed your weary eyelids~
     Then He whispered “Peace Be Thine".

 

You will always be with us, no matter how much time goes by.
You, our Little Deanna, will always remain afresh within our hearts and our minds.

We loved you then, we love you still.
