Night Wings ~I long For You

 

 

 

Cobwebs hang  in the memories of my mind

 Voices of the past echo thru my soul

A melody of sad refrain plays upon my memories...

like the strings of a lonely violin

 

 

I wander through  my dreams

 searching for places to warm my heart- lay my head

I no longer wish to sleep…

for in my dreams, your image sears my brain

burning your face into my soul

 

 

I  awake with sadness,  with longing

an emptiness resides within my bosom

I long for peace and solitude

I long for You
