REALITY BITES BIG
Can anyone tell me the proper "protocal", for a DUI, DWI is?
I mean, is there really a protocol? Well, perhaps, we need to first define the word, "protocol". Webster, says it is a 'code of conduct', 'modus opendi' or a 'set of rules'.
Hmmm, that would certainly make us stop for a moment and 'think'. Wouldn't you think?
I suppose some, might even say it would be driving under the influence, of, 'too much to eat', 'too much stress' or some other ridiculous notion, so the finger wouldn't always be pointing to those who drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol!
There is no aesthetic difference between, drugs or alcohol, if you are driving, while intoxicated. It should refer to any drug, or any alcohol. Marijuana, heroin, meth, alcohol, prescription drugs. The list is endless. They are one in the same, regardless, if you are a junkie, a drunk, or a pill popper. The intoxication and improper use of any of these substances, could possibly render a person incapable of the proper handling of a motorized vehicle, car, boat, airplane or motorcycle, train, bus,(did I miss any here)?
I guess, in a manner of speaking, you may as well take a gun, roll down the window and shoot out into the street. Either way, you are taking the risk of killing yourself and some innocent bystander, driver, or a whole carload of people, while you insipidly and carelessly put yourself in the role of some kind of god. God you say? Yes, gGod I say, but not with a capital G.
If you want to drink and do drugs, at least have the decency, the respect and the common sense, not to get behind the wheel of a vehicle. STAY HOME and drink and drug yourself to death, if that is your choice of entertainment. But don't take the risk of taking someone else with you, that does not 'voluntarily' want to die, because of your narcissism, selfishness and stupidity!
Drugs, can include a lot of varities, prescriptions, over the counter drugs, street drugs. Don't fool yourself, because you have a prescription of Oxycodein, Oxycotin, or some other perscription, or an O.T.C drug that says; 'do not drive, while taking this drug, do not drink alcohol with this drug'.
Just because, it is purchased at a Pharmacy or a drugstore, does NOT make it any less lethal, if it is not used properly.
The punishment for DUI'S is not strict enough. Over and over and over, it gives individuals chance after chance of repetitive behavior, depending on how much they are willing to pay an attorney.
I have read about 4,5, 6, even 7 time offenders, still driving, still on the streets, and STILL driving under the influence!
When I die, it certainly wouldn't be fair, if I died, due to the fact that someone killed me, because they selfishly chose to drive while under the influence. I would be very, very 'pissed off'! WITHOUT A DOUBT, I would most definitely haunt that person to death if they killed me because they were 'DUI'! ;(
(You really wouldn't want me to do that, it would be painful for you, believe me!)
Imagine this for a moment! Wouldn't you be a little 'pissy', if you were killed by a person driving under the influence? Even if you, yourself have driven under the influence? Wouldn't it kinda' 'infuriate' you to think some other operson killed you, because they were DUI?
Well, it would either be 'you' or 'them', now wouldn't it?
Just STOP and THINK about that. the next time you get behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated!
It is time America, it is time for the judicial system, to really start cracking down on repeat offenders. It is time!
I lost a brother...and a sister, due to drunk drivers! I'd sure hate to see you, lose someone you love, due to a person driving under the influence.
