My heart's going in a new direction...

I had to learn to run away from you

Before I was too crippled to walk

You don't listen when I talk

So maybe you'll hear me when I leave

Because my heart laid down the law

It just won’t let you break it again

My eyes refuse to cry any more tears over you

My lips will not allow your kisses…

To tease or please

 

Yes I still love you in an awkward sort of way

But in all honesty you’re no longer worth the fight

My fighting days are through

Loving you…

Cannot erase the bad things you did to me

 

I took a step back…

And realized I had to let you go

My heart and soul weren’t bulletproof

It seemed…

You’d rather watch my heart drown...

Then get your hands wet drying my tears

 

How much more did you think my heart could take?

Would take?

You bent it until it broke

So go find someone else...

To share your paltry crumbs of love

I pushed everyone aside for you…

But you pushed me aside for everyone

So in the end I say…

Goodbye, if I wasn’t good enough for you…

Then feel free to push me away for being me
