![]() THE DANCEA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
We spin, we twirl, arms embraced Cheek to cheek, face to face Stepping to the rhythms- holding close To the tunes of endless songs You give a nod, I turn a toe
We feel our bodies close- skin to skin We bow - catch hands again Hearts in tune arm in arm Our shadows dancing on the wall
Bodies fit together in perfect line Dancing with your eyes over mine Entwined together - one on one Doing the mambo or a lovely waltz
Your hand on my waist, mine on your shoulder Dancing to the tango the misic smolders Holding close, dancing tenderly To the flowing rhythms of the song
Dance, my handsome man Dance with me like noone can Move slowly with me in the dark Hold me close Let my flesh touch yours Forever locked in this moment, this embrace
Movig together to the musical sounds Twirling around- feet barely touching the ground Your breath warm against my neck Floating together on a cloud
The magic of the night was ours As we sway together in the midnight hour As the violins slowly fade Hold me, twirl me one more time Before this beautiful evening ends
