![]() She Dreamed Of Icarus ~ Portrait In IndigoA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
She dreamed of Icarus - soaring down on steel wings Shrouded in cobalt, magenta colored clouds -with outstretched, feathery fingers Lifting her up to dance with him in a beautiful Stravinsky ballet... As it was meant to be- not how it was
She was like a delicate portrait...
Lancinating the fragile fragments of her spirit
Snapping the delicate boughs of her arms as it pulled at the fleshy bark of her skin In shades of indigo blue
Slowly over time her soul began to heal- her mind became mended Tattered strings that once held her heart captive lifted their muddied grip She began to lift her wings to the sky -reaching out her soul to the Universe When suddenly ... Her Icarus flew down on silvery colbalt wings - He gathered her carefully into his arms -tucking her head gently under his wings Together they began to fly upwards towards the skies... Softly painting their portrait in shades of indigo blue
