Kingdom of Fates

Kingdom of Fates

A Chapter by Lacy Sutton

Stepping in the gigantic room similar to Gem's room only ten times in size, grace and elegance, it was there Iyanna saw her. The beautiful woman she had drempt about. She was real and she is here. She was much more elegent and younger looking in person. She must take the breath away from thousands of men. Her hair was pulled up in tendrils with gold dragonfly clips that had wings of green. She was stunning, almost so , that she was hard to look at. Iyanna could not help but notice how much they favored eachother minus the hair. Hers was pin perfect while Iys was frizzed like one of those spongy net ball things that you bathe yourself with. She had a welcoming warm hue glowing around her as she stared at her self in the mirror on the vanity. She did seem the superficial type but heck I'd stare at myself all day too if i looked that good. S**t I'd be playing the mirror mirror on the wall game asking who was fairest of them all just like in snow white only there'd be no witches or poisen fruit. Iyanna smirked to herself thinking the thoughts and giggled getting to the image of the mask on the mirror. She didn't notice the woman had stood up and was now sitting on a futon near the slaybed laced with more green, gold, ivory, dragonflyes and surpents on the head board perfectly carved in it with extraordinary detail. Almost like the creatures were alive dancing with movement with the light coming off the chandilier that memiced the handles on the door; surpents coming from the sealing slithering their way to each stem with the bulbs up right in the mouths and their were eyes emerald and shiney. Yet again seemed so beautiful like the one before and so fragile.

"You like it?" She heard a voice say as she turned around seeing it come from the woman. "It was inspired thousands of years ago by your grandfather, and then I added my own inspirations to it after I was brought here. Seems like so long ago though but my inspiration still lives on and the longer I stayed here the more detail I added as if it came to me in dreams." Iyanna nodded yes still gawking at this stunning woman. She wonder what her inspiration was, must have been something unwordley because this room was magnificiant. It had three marble bathrooms four marble and gold closets on each end of the room with one huge vanity at the opposite wall of the door made of pure ivory and marked with drangonflys on the widdled in ropes lineing the top and door frame of a cabinet that had a strange gold surpent head long on it. Her jewels and gold bars must be in there, who wouldn't lock that up.

With an apologectic grin and gesture Kane introduced Iyanna to Meg, the queen. Then he excused himself and left them two to talk. Pointing at a gold chair next to the futon Meg asked Iyanna to sit. Only when she ask her she had called her Gem not Iyanna. Snapping back at Meg she told her that her name was Iyanna not Gem and maybe she had mistaken her for someone else. "Nonsence, my dear child I know my daughter when I see her infact when we are/were apart I can feel you and where your at. It's because of our link, our blood." Meg laughingly also serious told Iyanna. Furiously shaking her head in disagreement Iyanna argued back to her. "Look lady in no way shape form or fashion are we related or "linked" as you say." "You are not my mother and my name is Iyanna not gem. Yeah we look similar even close to age but botox and surgery does that for a person. I don't know what game you're playing or what types of feddishes you have but you are nuts. I need to use your phone. I need to phone my "real mom" and let her know I'm ok. My parents are probably worried sick about me. So if you will please stop with your mad talk and help me. If not I'll figure out how to do that myself. I have gps on my phone and will figure away out of here and how to get back home or to atleast the nearest place with a bus or train that will get me home." Standing up showing her full body and features Meg looked sternly and mad back at Iyanna and said "Sorry dear but that wont be happening any time soon. This is a place you can just find your way out of and gps wont show you it on the map. As far as your cell phone. Surely the road it was left on had a car or two pass down it crushing it, so that idea you can forget." "Look I know this is crazy talk and your worried, scared, tired, filled with every emotion and all hieghtened senses from your coming of age but what you have heard tonight thus far is all true. I'd never tell you a lie. Last thing I want you doing is leaving me again. I can't bare that loss one more time. I'll have Kane escort you back to your room. We will talk more tomorrow once you have rested." Calling Kane in she asked him to take Iyanna to her room and help her settle in giving her anything she needed. Ending her list of demands with him to stay in the room next to hers for the night incase Iyanna decided to try and leave. Acting like a soldier in the line of dutey he took Iy's hand and they began their journey back to the room she had woken up in.

Once they were out the room and down the hall Iyanna stopped Kane from walking and demanded he tell her at the very least where they were. "The kingdom of Fates" He said not realizing how obsurd that may have sounded. "It's not of the normal world or the after life. Its a place that exist within the human world but is not often seen by humans unless we call on them for help when we need them or worse if a human finds any of us out they are brought here for execution." "Our lives and kinds have started the path to extinction quickly through out the last century and every "life" or faction if you will, mattered. Sticking together helping one another against the dark evils is our only hope left for survival." Explained Kane. Furiously and full of rage Iyanna yelled. "Kingdom of Fates!? Really Kane. I thought you were going to tell me truth for once. All this time I thought you were normal not like the other dbags at school who lied just for their amusement or to get what they wanted. You're no better than they are. I can't believe I trusted you. I can't believe the night of my birthday I planned to tell you I had started falling for you" waving at the air as if trying to wipe away something in front of her "The guy I thought you were deserved that time of day, kindness and respect. The boy I see standing before me, whom I don't even know come to find out, doesn't deserve a second thought from me. I can find my own way to my room, leave me alone! I'm never speaking to you again! Go follow the "Queen" around maybe she needs a whipping boy!" Iyanna lastly said before storming away back to the room. Kingdom of Fates my a*s she thought as she tried remember exactly which way was the right way back to her room. Finally after being lost in a maze she arrived. Realizing now how tired she actually was she showered through on a set of pajamas from one of the closets got in the bed and off to sleep she went.
