Arriving at the now beautifully lit palace the girls got out of the cart and walked to the door. Mel turned to look at Iyanna one last time before grabbing the handle smiling with major glee and said this was going to be the best night of their lives. With that said she opened the door and next thing she knew screams and hollers started taking over. "Surprise!" about 40 people yelled as they were escorting in by uncle Whitt. Without stopping tears of joy sprang from her eyes. Her parents walked over to hug her and give their sorries for not being there for her when she woke up. Not soon after she was bombarded with happy birthdays from all around her making her center of attention makeing her feel like the queeen for real. Just when she thought she was finished with the birthday greetings from friends and family; there at the end of the walk way catching her eye and stealing her breath stood Kane! Dressed like King Henry the VIII tights and all. Iyanna couldn't help but to smile and stare. As he spoke all she could do was grin and try to listen, but she was lost in him and his outfit her mind went mushy she was at a lost for words. So in the end she gave him a sweet twinkley smile while hugging and thanked him. After everyone said their piece and settled in the night the party kicked off with excitement. People everywhere in their 18th century costumes even some acted the part with accents and all. Mels party she put together last minute for me was a major success.

As Iy and Mel sat outside in the courtyard that was once a pool they laughed about school and talked about how great this night had turned out. Not long after they'd been outside the group followed to join them even Kane was with them. "So Iy did we get you? Were you surprised at all? Are you pissed? If so to be fair it wasn't my idea it was all Mel." "Zak was supposed to help take lead with her on this private operation we called project S.16 but he forgot to call the event coordinator who turned him away last minute. Leaving me and Mason to finish his dirty work which by the way wasn't exactly what you call simple especially with Mels demanding list of to dos. She threatened us with fake death threats if we didn't pull it together by tonight. Luckily we all did what he had to do and made it happen." Duke said making sure if in fact Iy was pissed that she wasn't pissed at him. "The hardest part of it all was getting you're parents here and back in time." Kane said sitting down next to her. They told me last week how they had to go to their new office for final arrangements so they can start the second firm on monday so I knew where they were and when Uncle Whitt called me about the accident they'd been in I rushed fast like lightening to the hospital they were taken to. It took some convincing but with my power of persuasion the nurses finally decided to discharge them and let me take them back home." Geez guys all this for me, ya'll didn't have to do all of this. Its really a lot for just me but I'm happy to say I have the best friends a girl could ask for no doubt!!" Iyanna finally was able to put the missing pieces together. Kane is not some super secret spy and all the "business meetings" the boys had to attend weren't really businessy after all. I was all for a surprise party for her. Lucky girl.

After spending time with just the group they all decided it was time they head back inside to join everyone else. Opening the door still laughing at a joke Zak just made about Tudors a loud scream came from Melony and the group stopped dead in there tracks, frozen like they had all just been turned to stone. That's when Iyanna saw him. The man from the woods. He stood there as if he'd been waiting for her to come in. Everyone seemed to have been in a trance. Not answering her when she called out to anyone as if they couldn't hear or see her. Even her friends didn't move it was like once they passed the threshold they fell in the trance too. The only other person who was still aware was Kane. Iyanna was scared and confused and didn't know what to think or do as she stared back at the now noticing ugly man who looked like he belong in a horror movie like the lepracauhn or something. Kane took a few steps closer trying to reach Iyanna but the closer he got the closer the man who Kane called Assi got to her and made him more pissed off. "Boy you better take a step back if you know whats good for you. You know as well as I my kind can whipe out you're kinds existence at the snap of a button." She heard the assi say to Kane who seemed to be about ready to attack this thing and take him out right then in there without a fight just one fell swoop into obliviation he'd go down with a major thrown punch and Kane wouldn't even break a sweat. Iyanna scanned the room looking for the nearest exit to bolt too but not one insight except for the one they just came in at. Unfortunately for her at this point she was not going out they way because the assi had circled around her and was standing in front of it. Taunting her he said "Nice try my dear but you aint getting away this time and Kane knows better then to try and stop me for it'll be his last breath he uses as his life gets taking for stepping out of line of duty to the queen, your mom!" With one more frightened scared to death look on her face she scanned the room and noticed the laundry shute door which led to the basement just steps away from where she stood. And with her last fighting chance as the assi closed in on her she yelled out to Kane and made a run for it. Hearing the thing screeching behind her she was almost at the door she felt the cold hand grab at the back of her neck yanking her back from her last hope of freedom. last thing she remembered was Kane yelling for her and then everything went black.
