Retrospection

Retrospection

A Poem by Jon Lattone
"

Rest In Peace Padr <3

"

A gentlemen`s drag,
The past is here.
Bitter taste,
It feels sincere.

Bright lights,
On the steeple.
Forgetting education,
Please help your people.

Grey clouds,
Over sunny skies.
I felt fear and sadness,
At your closed eyes.

The back wall occupant,
Before the pale yellow light.
Carpet lines enthrall me,
On this, an auspicious night.

I hope to change,
The pattern soon.
It tells me "remember"
It means the moon.

I wish I could share,
This second with him.
I remember you here,
My friend, dear Ben.

It was a simple piece with beautiful flow, great imagery and a great conclusion to exactly what you were feeling.

Jon you did an outstanding job of tying your imagery to specific ideas. You also added metaphores that were understandable and highlighted the imagery. I did not understand every word...COOL. This is plain as day layered with depth for the seeker. Great Job...Song

Oh Jon! This was so pretty. I wish my vocabulary was as good as yours! How dare you not call yourself a poet silly! Enough of that now. This was beautiful, and I'm pretty much crying right now omg. Ben would have loved it of course

Aww. I am so very sorry for your loss. This displays the sadness of losing someone perfectly. :)

Keep on writing my friend.
