Chapter one: My name is Tess Ann

Chapter one: My name is Tess Ann

A Chapter by Lacey Whetten

My name is Tess Ann. That's all I can remember. I don't know where I am or how I ended up here. I look around me and I see wood covering the place from head to toe, must be a cabin of some sort. Alongside me on my right is a table covered with needles and one was leaking out some sort of green vaccine. In front of me is a girl who lay sleeping of exhaustion. Her head hung to the side and her arms folded across her body trying to support the dagger falling out of her arms. I slowly rise out of my white linen bed and go over to her. She looks so peaceful, but I can't help but wake her up and ask where I am. I gently put my hand on her shoulder and she jolted into action. Before I knew it, she side swept my feet causing me to lose my balance. Then tackled me to the ground with her dagger ready and pointed at my throat. Her crystal clear blue eyes peered deep into my eyes looking for any excuse to kill me. Her face scrunched in anger and hatred suddenly turned to understanding. “Tess?! Tess Ann!! Oh my gosh! I thought we lost you.” She apologized as she retracted her dagger into her holster and picked me up off the ground. She thinks she can kill me and apologize for it. Turning on her, I drove her into the wall by her wrists and yelled, “What the heck was that? I don’t even know you and you want to kill me!!!” Infuriated, I didn’t notice that there must have been someone about to walk in because another girl about 5’9’’ with jet black hair rushed into the room and ripped me off her friend; shoving me to the ground. Before I could recollect myself and get back up again, the girl with the jet black hair jammed a needle with some clear liquid into my neck and everything around me started to fade.
