King

King

A Poem by Lacey

Unpure and unclean

I stumble around this corrupt world

chained down by my sins

unable to escape

falling into temptation over and over again

trying to fill an empty in my heart

unable to succeed

then one day a man claiming to be king

claimed to loved me

he said he forgave me

he said I would have everlasting life

so he layed on a jagged cross

3 nails pierced his beautiful body

a crown of thorns dug in his skull

they put the cross in the ground

and their he hung

the king of the Jews

a king whose three in one

Father

Spirit

Son

a man who died for you and me

so we could be saved

to fill our empty voids

to free us from our chains

to love and forgive us

to spend the rest of eternity with us

as long as we believe

this king named Jesus

he is my savior

for all eternity
