Sitting in the dark

Thinking about the past

It’s a place I don’t want to visit again

 

Memories play like a DVD

Song plays like broken days

Darkness surrounds like a baby blanket

 

Heart is hurting from liking someone more who will never like me back

Giving up replacing hope with a high wall, swaying sided to side

Cover my “beautiful soul” with those lies you spray

 

Hide behind a mask of fake smiles and dry eyes

While I scream and cry on the inside

Lie to me and say it will all be okay

 

Reach down and save me

Break the wall that sways from side to side

Breathe into me the life that you have and save my ever dying soul.
