Infatuation

Infatuation

A Poem by Soul's whispers

I love him so much
Though never had a word with him

I think about him so much
Yet never got to know him

Will it be a matter of shame -
Just cause I don’t know his name?

Shame? I don’t care what that is.

I would like to tell you a secret
That i believe is the truth
If he is not what I think he is, I repeat,

If he is not what I believe to see,
Then I'll accept what death has to show me.

Been there far too many times not to know! There is a saying that goes: “sleep on it,” and I find that helps with infatuation. After pulling away then having a harder ‘second’ look I realise what I first believed isn’t really so; then as you so aptly put, it’s possible to “accept what death has to show.” The death of an infatuative flame.

Hiii soul whisperer. I love how you capture the emotions behind unrequited love or infatuation. It’s amazing to be able to share those moments and someone out there understands. I too have this experience and nothing came of the relationship either but those memories are there. Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊😊

This piece captures the intensity of unexpressed love and the yearning for connection, even if there is no interaction. And the fact that you would rather face death than let go of this desire is hauntingly profound.
