I Just Don't Feel At Home...A Poem by AlmeaPoem a wrote a looooong time ago after getting into an argument with my mom. :c
I'm not arguing, mom!
Stop yelling at me please
I know how i am
I don't take it with ease
I cry every night while lying in bed
hearing your words run through my head
Are you not listening to your words instead?
The things you say make me feel dead.
If I said that to you, how would you feel?
Would you cry and beg that Jesus would take the wheel
or would you put them aside as the words of child
and that nothing I say is worth while
Don't lie and say that I'm not just like you
'Cause you know that I am but in strife you
Tell me the way that I am, your daughter dear
When you really should take a step back and look in the mirror
I am your daughter
And you're my mom
but sometimes your words do slaughter the heart
and chill the bones
I'm sorry I'm not perfect.
I just don't feel at home...
