If I Cry

If someone cries, what would you do?

If I cry,

will you be here to pull me into your arms and hold me tight?

Look into my eyes

and tell me everything is going to be alright?

 

If I cry,

will you wipe my tears,

then tell me

not to be afraid of my fears?

 

If I cry,

will you stay with me

to make sure I’m okay?

Be here mentally and emotionally, if not physically?

 

If I cry,

will you cry with me?

Hold back your own tears?

Or let them flow freely?

 

If I cry,

will I have to cry alone

like so many times before?

Or will I be in your arms, my home?
