Who'll Cry for HerA Poem by Ebony LaDoviaThere are so many little girls that feel as if they aren't important to anyone.Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who could never talk to her
mommy. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who was ignored by her daddy. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who never learned how to show
much emotion. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who has never been shown much
affection. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who doesn’t know how to trust. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s heart is covered with
rust. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who feels so alone. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s heart beats a sad song. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s in so much pain. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’ stuck in the pouring rain. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who has so many fears. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who holds back so many unwanted
tears. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s been hurt so many times. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who lives in a world where the
sun never shines. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s weary of the darkness. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who fears the pain that lurks
in the blackness. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who prays constantly, but to no
avail. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who, sometimes, feel like an
empty shell. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s heart is in so many
pieces. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who reaches out to God and to
Jesus. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who silently begs for help. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who doesn’t know how to help
herself. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who thinks she has no one to
lean on. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s always been so strong. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who wants someone to wipe away
her tears. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who thinks no one cares. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s afraid to believe. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s filled with emotional
need. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s heart bleeds. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who grew up to be me.
Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who talks so she doesn’t have
to think about her pain. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who feels like her soul is
stained. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s smile is rare. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who is filled with despair. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl with a frown glued to her face. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who aches for her maternal
grandmother’s embrace. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who feels like she’s about to
suffocate. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who sees thinks in a different
way. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl with the fragile heart. Who’ll cry for her? Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who keeps her emotions to
herself. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who keeps her feeling
bottled-up on the highest shelf. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who puts her innermost thoughts
on paper. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s waiting for someone to
come and save her. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who wonders if she’ll ever be
happy. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who was me.
Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s dreams seemed to have
been washed away. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who holds back tears of pain
every day. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s lost in her own mind. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl whose demons make their
appearance at night time. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s on the verge of a nervous
breakdown. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who walks with her head held
high, but still looks at the ground. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl that is so lonely. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl that still lives inside of me.
Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who still silently craves her
daddy’s attention. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who knows that she will, most
likely, never be the recipient of her Daddy’s emotions. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who tried to be close to her
mother. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who continues to quietly suffer. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who gives almost everything. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who barely receives a thing. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who a lot of people think has
an attitude. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who some think is just rude. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who is misunderstood. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who tried to be good. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who’s blind emotionally. Who’ll cry for her? The little girl who will always be me. Who’ll cry for her? Other than me. © 2013 Ebony LaDovia |
