What's The Point

What's The Point

A Poem by Runa
"

A poem I wrote for a good friend of mine.....

"
What's the point of going on
day after day
What's the point of hearing people say
everything's going to be okay
What's the point of trying to lie
If you know it's going to haunt your mind.
What's the point of saddness
when you know it's going to drive you to maddness
What's the point of giving your love as a token
If you know later on it's going to get broken
What's the point of saying you're going to runaway
If you know you couldn't make it your own way
What's the point of fighting
when you know your only going to break down crying
What's the point of living
when no choices are given
Even though you feel like you're going to lose sanity
Think of the brighter things to bring out your vanity
Just don't forget the people
that are important
If there's no point for you to live
Live for them, that's for certain

Grammar seems fine sweetie.
I love the words.
It's sharp and crisp. Just flows across the tongue.
Interestingly, I always found myself singing this, like in a rap style?!?
It's catchy and quick. Very poignant.
Brava!

Aww, there's so much emotion in this poem.. !
I feel the same way every day. :'D

The way the rhyming isn't perfect/exact makes the poem all the better.
