Broken VoiceBoxA Poem by RunaTo sit in a corner undisturbed to be quiet to the world to not know how to speak or scream Sitting inside the spaces of my mind This is the only place I now find kind
No longer can I speak the words I want to say no longer at night can I ask you to stay I can't scream your name when you're gone I've wished to say those three words for so long
The melodies that use to be I can not sing For only small grunts and whines can my voice bring The lovely lullabies that covered my screams they could only now be found in my deepest dreams
A lifeless broken shell is where now I lay my story is done I have no more to say I've fought but now I can not talk Now it's just my dark mind and my broken voicebox © 2008 RunaAuthor's Note
