Prayer to the MoonA Poem by La Belle MusicalThis is sweet and dreamy, just like the fair moon.Man on the moon, How fair thee this night? The heavens are a-glow, The land is asleep. Watching over us all, Guardian of our dreams, Your lover is calling - Won’t you answer her, please? Keeper of Wishes, Lord of the Skies, Summer is waning, Peace is ending, And the armies are marching. Oh King of Prayers, Hear my cries! Protect my lover As he marches in the fall. Please, Greatest of all Immortals, Do as I ask thee. I have little gold or money - I offer you my soul In exchange for the safe- Keeping of my lover. Oh, please do not let him die! He is the light in the dark, The hope in my heart; Without him... Oh I don’t know where to start! I ask you this favour, And offer you anything... If only you’ll protect him... Oh please answer my cries! © 2008 La Belle MusicalAuthor's Note
