Painkiller Dreams

Painkiller Dreams

A Poem by La Belle Musical
"

So, rather random, rather off beat, but still charming in a rough, sick and twisted kind of way.

"

An egg-shapped rock floats by
My bedroom window
As the earth spins round.
Head resting on knees
I moan and groan as
Every last bit
Of sanity flees
My poor feverish
Mind. I dare glance out
The window once more
And am suprised to
See pink-tinted clouds
Covering the sky.
What ever happened
To sunshine? Licking
Parched lips, I manage
A slight croak as I
Sit, bare feet slapping
Against ice cold wood-
Panneled floor. Shaking
And shivering, I
Move to my window,
Now gazing out on
A world gone crazy.
Closing my eyes I
Stand on the edge and
Grip myself hard. Lean
Forward, just a bit
More. That's it.
 Purrs my
Dillusional
mind. Free falling now.
And splat! the earth has
Come to welcome me.
