In Search of a Beginning

In Search of a Beginning

A Poem by L.M.Warde

Blind I am,
Though through eyes do I see.
My soul will be damned,
When at last the darkness has me.

Such a fool I have been,
To believe in the strength of my heart.
Consumed by this sin,
I would not know where to start

To find a new place locked inside,
Or a melody free of hatred and malice.
Even somewhere to hide,
To change my heart turned so callous.

I want to let the light fill me,
To radiate through my flesh and my bone
Even if it seems silly,
I'll know I'm no longer alone.
