Drifter

Drifter

A Story by L.M.Warde

I wander through fields and catacombs of memories; recalling distant moments and other such forgotten things, now drifting like broken dreams or a long lost melody. Sweetly, softly it entices me.

Like a force unknown to me, I am wrapped in the nostalgic veil of reminiscing. The world around me stretching endlessly. Free standing doorways are encircling. Inside lurks each recorded envisioning.

A lifetime of decisions both good and bad. Haunting reminders of the life I could've had. No such rooms around that speak of 'what if's' or the unknown. No memories of when I had a home. I've been alone from young to grown. No loved ones, or pets to call my own. So I sit, head down, out in the cold, on the corner...alone. Locked in a world of endless adytum I search for where I belong, somewhere in these lonely fields and catacombs

Author's Note

L.M.Warde
A short little narrative I stumbled into one evening when, perhaps, I imbibed a few more glasses of fire water than might have been necessary.

About
In a simple explanation: I am a rather quiet individual who strongly enjoys telling stories, be them a short narrative at a party or get together, or a long chapter-by-chapter telling through .. more..
