PrideA Poem by L.shivaIt was pride that changed angels into devils. -Saint Augustine
His father was proud, as proud as the son
for the beliefs they had were two halves of a one, The mother was neutral, loved equally both of them, She accepted and respected both beliefs all the same,, That day in May, she wishes never came to pass, For the son stomped in the Sun, as the father poured Pride in a glass, On the threshold sat mother holding her hands to the Sun, Alas! the day passed out drunk, her tears dried and PRIDE won. © 2018 L.shiva |
