Her cheatin' Heart

Her cheatin' Heart

A Poem by Lola Nation
"

it is what it is

"

I’m broken and I’m moody

Tell me something pretty

In other words

seduce me,

One more time come on Sam

You were once

and I am now

I need intimacy

I need a vacation

Sing a melody

Get me

Get me

Get me

there

Touch, lick lips

Don’t ask me about my better half

I’m beyond the voice

There’s no reason

He approaches dear

and I turn down the volume to the record

it’s too loud and I’m too obvious

There’s a delicate pause

A chance to say never mind, no

A chance to decline resign or bid adieu

but no one does,

It’s only secrets and sorry now

Massage my back

til I tickle upward in your hands

as you press down

the music lingers sweetly off the radio

we have no station, no reason

to go home and enough to stay here

it’s hot, this room is cool

there’s enough wine to raise a sunset

Forgive my misspellings when I say

I love you

i really love this...the reasons and reasonings, the abandoning to passion.
and a perfect ending. very fine!

I could use a vacation myself, these long daylight naps are killing me. Good to read your pen friend.
