A Ruined Graveyard

A Ruined Graveyard

A Poem by Nightmare Catcher
"

Part of an essay, I had to write a poem bout a specific part of the plot from the book 'Parvana'.

"
Dark clouds filled the sky
Crows cawed till bones were dry
Ruined buildings, buried bones
Remainders of the old gravestones

Rubble, dust, piles of bricks
It'll fill your lungs and make you sick

A slight breeze flowing by
A rotting stench from the ones that died
Imagine the sorrow, love lost and gone
The pain, the anguish, like a battle withdrawn
