Lost, alone, on this eerie night,
Scared, lonely, not a ray of light.
The moon has vanished into thin air,
There is no sun, now say your prayers.
I'd wish upon a star if I knew I could,
But I cannot see the sky in this deep dark wood.
Nor can I see where my feet land on the ground,
But I can feel the prickle of thorns all around.
I hear the howl of a wolf that seems close by,
The screams from inside me as I slowly die.
I can feel cold gush of wind on my cheek,
I shudder from the shock of freezing water below my feet.
