Dubiety

Dubiety

A Poem by London Pallak
"

A small story of some sort reflecting on past decisions that make people regret.

"
Sometimes it's funny being a person.
Making the wrong decisions can lead to something awful and disgusting, listening to your twisted thoughts -- and we all know that we have them -- is the cause of most of these choices.

It's insane to keep doing the same thing over and over again, knowing an interchangeable outcome but you still do it every time.

Like a child stealing from the cookie jar left high above the ground on top of the white refrigerator covered in stupid magnets that no one truly cares about but fills the room with a positive flavor.

The atmosphere changes with the snap of a finger, being caught red handed and knowing so. The pitiful voice of the person who caught you thieving, and yet some of us take dismay because we can't seem to understand how we gave ourselves permission to do such a thing. No matter what it is. Lying, theft, murder, rape, assault.

In the end they all seem to have the same outcome, a bleak and nightmarish life. Unless you have a way of altering your vision on how life is to be played out, you can be stuck in a realm where you are not spared mercy, and do not wish for it.
