Love Lives On

Love Lives On

A Poem by Marguerite Lynn Morin
"

I wrote this following the death of my husband.

"

What don't I possess that once surely I did?
Something I had from my eyes is now hid.
I assay to retain what my senses crave;
The essence of one, my aloneness to stave.
Ethereal touches that tease and seduce me in twilight dreams,
though elusive they must be.
All purpose and reason have consumed away, yet...
Love still lives here, it's last lingering ray.

the best thing about this poem is the truth in it...the happiness to have loved, and the longing of what was once true...LOVE!
