Virgin to my ink.

The feeling that overcomes a writer with each new page.

There is something beautiful in a brand new page
something clean and majestic
a battle not yet waged

with each new page comes a break,
a calm after the storm before once again
the hurricane in my pen awakes.

and when one page is done or ruined, stained with ink
I turn the page and once more I realize,
there is so much more that I've yet to think.
