You Weren't There

You Weren't There

A Poem by Arabella Schlitz

I failed an exam, different instances had ran in my mind, I needed you.
But you weren't there.

I was sick because I want you safe, I needed you.
But you weren't there.

You made a mistake, I forgave you, I needed you to choose me,
But you weren't there.

I held your hand when you needed me, I needed you,
But you weren't there.

I wanted you to choose me, I needed you to choose me
But you weren't there.

I'm starting to care less, I needed you to show me how much you love and wanted me
But you weren't there.

Make a choice. Please choose me this time.

This a very sad poem, but I understand. The absences of the one that you love hurts more than words can say. I like it

I'm glad you like it!:)
I am speechless. This piece is so glorious and it captures everything. I can relate because I have a father who is a drug addict. That's why I especially liked the part about passing the test.
