A Poem by L.L Price
"

We cannot escape our fate.

"
she met the Devil today, in the city where Dreams & Nightmares collide. He followed her home, where she lives alone, & asked to come inside. she said Devil O Devil, you don't want me; surely there's somewhere else you could be? He smiled disease: i go where i'm meant, you see. His black-hoofed hands are heavy with globes; round & fragrant & red. the rest of the world sees sweetness: she sees her future instead. Then His mouth is upon hers, full of smoke & pollution & doom : she can taste the end of the world & His eyes burn like the moon.

A wonderful poem, though perhaps if you broke it up into stanzas it would read better. It took me a moment to catch it's rhythm. Very visual though, like a story in poem form. Very nice.
