Saw Another War Blues

Saw Another War Blues

A Poem by LKang

“Saw another war Blues”

D
Outside of the fire station; wasted
C
Words along side; coated furs
D C
Set on fire; mystic curses
D
That ashed on my feet
C G
And burned up all the bedroom sheets

G
Impaired ears that hide the sound
D C
Of sex, that convinces all

G
Who hear such things to

D
Draw
C
Upon their creativity

D
Waiting on the border, out
G
Past the crater and the ooze
D C
Was it really another war blues
D
Or images inside my mind
C
That killed the senses dead;
C
for me to find
D
See evil and it will do no harm
But you must be ready with your wits
It polishes and sits
On top of your head like a Buddha
Or a sleeping Judas.

While the Muslims
And the Jews are staring
At you, with daggers for the soul
So jump inside your little hole
Put on music that makes you still
That disguises all their words of hate
