Everyday Woman

Everyday Woman

A Poem by LKang

“Everyday woman”

Sunday woman she never worries (A)
She knows I can’t leave a good day behind (B)
I take my time, I’ll never hurry (A)
I know she does not mind. (B)

Friday girl, she knocks me out, (A)
To her, I’m useless (B)
Every body LOVES this(B)
Girl, that’s what she’s about(A)

Monday woman she does not know (A)
But she is better as a holiday (B)
Her diction moves and sways (B)
In her loving way (B)

Lady Saturday can’t even shout.(A)
She’s quiet by default (B)
The smallest of the women(C)
And polite to a fault.(B)

Ms. Tuesday in the evening
Plans the night out with grace
Her golden earrings lights the walls
Of any time
And any place

Ms. Wednesday
And her sister Thursday
They don’t seem to like me
Staying inside there rented room
They are as beautiful
As they are frightening

This is a really cool concept! I like the rhythm of it, and it feels like it could be a song. I also wonder why Wednesday and Thursday are so frightening. My only correction is that in the last stanza, it should be "staying inside their rented room" instead of "there". Good job!
