The Day That We Died

The Day That We Died

A Poem by Irresistaby Irish
"

Written Jun 11, 2008 - For Dean... please, please, please... get out of my head!

"

It was just another day,
But that was another life
When I seemed to matter
Before you said good-bye.
You changed your mind
And walked away,
Left me all alone
To face another day.
I feel so weak
As I try to go on.
I can't let you go.
My heart still holds on.
It's stubborn and fierce,
Fights with a passion
To hang on to the love
I thought was everlasting.
But I see in my mind
The scene that you set,
The tears that I cried,
The day that you left.
It was just another day,
But that was another life.
The day you walked away.
The day that we died.
