A tear came to my eye

I regained a piece of my life

Life seemed to be true

I knew I was destined to you
Many tears have wet the path
Down which I have journeyed so long
Many fears have blocked the road
And makde me cry til the dawn
But though it's been rough travels
And the nights have been so cold
I see the bright sun shining
Far down this long and bitter road
And I know it was worth the exhaustion
Of every rocky and lonely mile
Just to have the joy I felt
When first I saw you smile
