In the middle of the dance floor
I looked into the eyes of a stranger
And there I found comfort
When I should have found danger
In his eyes I saw someone
Who lives with fire and passion
A burning consumption of the soul
That I can no longer imagine
As crazy as it may sound
I met finally with a kindred spirit
And the discontent I've held at bay
Now was dangerously nearing
I wasn't out looking
For a wild one-night stand
I simply needed to feel
Like I was beautiful again
For when a man is in love
He takes great pains to let her know
Now I thing of what we have
And wonder where did the fire go
