From This Plane To YoursA Story by LJFFM 2024, Day 12, word count: 641Do you see a glowing amber font? Or, indeed, do you see any color of font, possibly backlit on a screen somewhere? That vision, or an accepted audible form, is what I'm using now to communicate. I'm sorry it's not in my usual golden cursive on a scroll that unrolls into infinity, but it will do. . I must caution you further. Though I am Chief Ghost, this is not what's historically been called "spirit writing" or "possession" or the probable ravings of what was called "a medium's spirit guide." Nor is this the doings of those tools deemed "mystic" -- like a Ouija board, old tea leaves, crystals of any sort, or cards, sticks or dice called "insightful." . A Chief Ghost, of which there has always only been one, me, is not insightful. I try to make order out of legions of human ghosts, but I am, in fact, inhuman, incorporeal and generally unfathomable. . But, I do like to try to communicate with living humans now and then, so here we are. . Always, I am aware of what living humans do to communicate, and I see a faint glimmer of words from a group of you. It's intriguing. I nearly see that this group, in the fullness of non-time, might add interesting layers to the human ghosts now in my ken. (Perhaps then you can say why some call you "flashers"... strange.) Still, I see you trying to communicate. . Human ghosts sometimes communicate, or try to, in a variety of ways. I once wrote about "woo-woo" ghosts and their noises in the living realm. Please, understand that "woo-woo" is a legitimate term in the atmosphere of human ghosts. Once heard, or many times heard, even living humans should understand this term. . There are other ways ghosts attempt to converse with, change, comfort, or even scare living humans. Though things like plastic and rubber hands punching up from a grave are not ghostly, some other things are. The following are examples. . The more flighty a spirit is, the more effervescent their communication is likely to be. When living humans say their "ears popped," how sure are they about why that happened? Do take ghostly causes into consideration. Also, think twice about an unexpected caress of cool air, or those invisible specks of nothing that make you say, "something got in my eye" without knowing what it was. A ghost, or several ghosts, may be trying to get your attention. . More serious ghostly communicators have names among living humans, such as "poltergeist" or "the haunting" or even "that demon again." But, to my way of existence, these ghosts are fiddlers, even gamers. They are, as a batch of living humans might say, a type of mechanic. This kind of spillover activity into the living world is, I say, a waste of ghostly non-time. They are interesting, in their peculiarities, but they're not exactly lightning bolts. At least, not mostly. . Ghosts are usually more elegant, no matter how long they've been mainly just a thought. Communication between ghosts is rather like a living human's weather. It's hard to see it arrive without special training, and even then, it will often be a surprise. It may be too gentle or too fierce, but it will be decidedly ephemeral. Most human ghosts, to communicate at any layer of presence, will be careful and even clever. . Let me interject my few more visible words here. Since I am Chief Ghost, and have never been alive, nor died, I rarely communicate on any layer for any reason. I merely act as a kind of open-weave blanket loosely draped over human ghosts, as is my duty. . If, by chance, you think you are lucky to see these words, think again. Ask yourself three questions: What is "luck"? Do you feel comfortable? Do you, actually, feel alive? .
