"
You're aware the cop has his radar thingy on your car. He's done that at this junction ever since you flew by him five days ago. That cop ("police officer") never caught you then. He means to catch you now, especially since you still drive the Mercedes 250-SL with the top down. He can see you, but can't catch you.

His police unit is "in pursuit," unaware that you have his speed radar and radio recorded, to compare to your own radar. It's under cover in back, with the trick-thingy that makes sure both your speeds are recorded "right."

You listen to his frustration when you turn off at the dirt exit. He hates the washboards there, shaking his teeth to pieces. You know this road, so you know how to drive fast. You're going home, recording both speeds you and the cop will say you're going.

Anyone who tries to take you to court for speeding will find themselves proven wrong by that recording. And, well, there's the fact that your innocent son follows you both, also using hidden "fancy" radar and recorder.

It's an open-and-shut case.
You're so sorry.
