The Attempt Was MadeA Story by LJ FFM, July 2024, Day 7, flash fiction in 55 words A thin stream of smoke curled toward the roof. She was engrossed in reading, hardly moving. Her long fingers turned the page. A passerby heard her sigh. When she closed the book, her thoughts were reflected in her posture. Everything slumped. The dragon realized she'd never understand enough about any face-off or somehow fishy suplex.
