In The Dark

In The Dark

A Poem by SpeakToMeTheTruth

I hear the shots run in the dark
Nothing like the flashing of my heart
Can you feel it?
Never to escape
This hell I will incinerate
I can feel it!
Both my eyes have broken
I dance with teardrops in my eyes
For the people who have died
Here we go
Welcome to my funeral
With out war
I don't even have a pulse
Is there something wrong with me?
As I cry
Deep in the night
I watch him die
Again and again
Teardrops fill
His lonely eyes
Why can't I save him?
Why can't I save you?
I am a ghost!
I am am so broken apart!
You are not my host!
You have broken my heart!
To pieces...

Again a somewhat confused piece due to the lack of good punctuation.
Some excellent lines here that need to be controlled so that the reader feels the words as you want them to be read.
Self questioning and self doubt. Written with passion and feeling.
Liked it but would like to see it edited better.

This is very sad.I think it is a struggle that the poet is having with himself yes?You penned it with a lot of emotion.Really good poem :)
