You

You

A Poem by Ally

You’re the hidden picture in a mass of scribbled drawings.

You’re the simple, epic thought that breaks a tense silence.

You’re the perfect cool breeze, one that comforts but never chills.

You’re the random song on the radio that matches your feelings so perfectly, you could have written it.

You’re the silence when there’s no need for words.

You’re a song, broken up thoughts pieced together into meaning.

You’re a dance, vibrant and crazy as though no one is watching.

You’re a kiss, a hug, and a smile all given by different people for different reasons but all meaning the same basic thing.

You’re beauty and peace, and the peace of beauty and the beauty of peace.

You’re the sun, the brightest thing you can see.

You’re a photograph at the perfect time in the perfect place.

You’re an enemy, an acquaintance, a friend.

You’re a welcomed gap of nothing in the chaos that is everything.

You’re love, and life, and happiness, and everything I can describe and some things I can’t and even then,

You’re so much more than that.
