Why?

Why?

A Poem by LHD

If you want happiness, why do you fear?

If you want friends, why do you gossip?

If you preach about your beliefs, why don’t you apply them?

If you want honesty, why do you lie?

If you want acceptance, why do you judge?

If you want to be understood, why don’t you listen?

Truth is,

The world lacks goodness and justice,

Society needs equality and correspondence

People cannot tolerate each other,

Religious men are becoming the worst examples

Parents are becoming the worst role models

Who are we?

What is our purpose?

Is it to fight?

Is it to kill?

I believe,

We’re here for love, peace, harmony, and accommodation

What about you?

your welcome, it was really great :)
You ask fantastically pointed questions. It seems we don't think...or we refuse to think about the consequences of what we do. There are more of us than ever and with that and the division of wealth tensions rise. There must be a bridge somewhere that can take us to your last lines. Let's hope we don't stop looking for it.

In this beautiful and direct poem, you write a clear social criticism, arguing for a change in our lives both individually and communally, a process to revolutionize peoples' awareness in order to build a new and better world but history tells us that things are very different .There are powerful forces against all deep change ( mass media, political , financial and public powers , religious doctrines ,the Army and our own comfort and selfishness )

The French and Russian Revolution were a disaster because always there will be social classes.

You are a very courageous girl, congratulations. It's a really good job.
