The reason why a boy can't trust

I wrote this poem for one of my guy friends about his situation.

You told me you loved me and we'd be together forever.

When i asked when you'd leave me, the answer was never.

I thought this love was strong and true,

But you weren't for real, but only you knew.

Cant tell me why we cant be together. 

Thought it was perfect from the first day I met her.

Baby age is only a number and really nothing more.

When you said it was done i thought my heart you tore.

But I realize you weren't the one, there's someone thats better 

I will find her and eventually get her. 

I thought that it was with my heart you were messin'

I realize now, you taught me a lesson.

A boy like me shouldn't give out his heart. 

Cause a girl like you would just tear it apart.
