I Am Me

I Am Me

A Poem by LeDiisco

People come and people go.

It happened enough, I would know.

They lie in your face and tell you they wont.

When they say they'll be there, they really wont.

You give them trust, you give them hope.

You try to climb that slippery slope.

One sided feelings, never returned.

You'r longing for others suddenly burns.

You hope for the person who is different in every way.

Waiting patiently day by day.

Is it so bad to long for a heartbeat to call your own?

No one deserves to be this alone.

Cant blame me for not trusting, its not my fault.

But upon this wound, someone put salt.

It burned, It stinged. The scar was dug deep.

It took awhile to relearn how to sleep.

In honesty, I'm only being me.

Its exactly who i'm supposed to be.

Try hard enough and maybe you'll see.

If you're lucky enough, you might get the key.
