Sorrento

Sorrento

A Poem by Lewis Davis-Norman
"

Its been a long time since I've posted anything, final year exams and all, hope you like this!

"

In dusty streets

Lay dusty dreams

As the sunset speaks

In sanguine streams.

On shim’ring Capris

A tongue of sea

Laps a lonely beach

In azure peace

In sweltering haze

And Sun’s turgid glaze

We find subtle beauty

In a lost community.

I could just picture the scene as I read this. It beautifully written and truly captured the imagery you sought for.

The vivid image you created in here made me want to watch the sunset at the stream and spend my day lying on that pristine beach. I enjoyed reading this.
