Whispers in the CloudsA Poem by Lewis Davis-NormanSentimental.
Brother, I feel
atop the clouds Suspended in
the skies, whirring As if I am a
younger self Like a falling
maple seed I’m in a pure
and mellow place Where loneliness
is beautiful and The beeps can’t
haunt me anymore And the clock
can’t tease me anymore I’m blessed to
say I have escaped The labyrinth of
life, breathless From cursed
unanswered questions A cornucopia of
impossibility I feel your
tears, they singe my skin As much as the
ills that took me, but Shine through
this aching flood For heaven only
smiles earthward. My only wish as
I depart to Lost, uncharted
lands: forget All the bitter,
poison questions for in The clouds
they rest as dust. © 2013 Lewis Davis-NormanReviews
