CirclesA Poem by Lewis Davis-NormanI don't know what to say about this one. It's probably my most personal work yet. As per usual, let me know what you think :)
I spent the day drawing Circles again and again To sketch a map of my mind. To try and make sense of the Untidy reels of thought Laden with dust and grime. But I realise the stinging truth I’m not the same man I was Twenty seconds ago, the world Moves in a cryptic way, burning Away so fast, enigmatic Dreams fade to black. And I’m still Drawing Circles On a brand New Page Every day brings a brand new Change. But I’m still wound up in Yesterday. I love you but You’ve already changed. You live In a future that left me behind In a bitterly linear way. Now I’m playing the waiting game I’ve wagered my life away I’ve circled right back to my past But today just isn’t the same. © 2013 Lewis Davis-NormanAuthor's Note
